Group Hug Required

What the world needs right now is a hug!

Who would ever imagined the events we have seen in 2020/21!  The devastating impact that the Coronavirus pandemic has had is huge, in some shape of form it really has touched everyone!

This indiscriminate invisible infection has brought the world to a grinding halt and has left many individuals, families and businesses in a real state of anguish.

Lockdown restrictions have really highlighted how important some of the more simple things in life are, how much we often take for granted and the craving for human contact.

The pandemic has left many of us feeling…

  • Worried about our future

  • Isolated and lonely particularly those of us that live alone

  • Anxious and overwhelmed with our emotions

  • Restricted to make any future plans

  • Disorganised due to a lack of routine

  • Stressed about our personal finances

  • Concerned about the disruption to regular healthcare appointments

  • Unbalanced working from home and being able to switch off from work

  • Grief stricken and bereft from losing friends and loved ones

“Nothing in life is to be feared; it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” — Marie Curie

Has COVID done anything positive?

We really have seen and heard some horrific situations haven’t we?

Loved ones in care homes and hospitals have taken their last breaths alone, isolated from the very people they would want around in those scary yet precious moments before passing away.

Jobs have been lost, businesses have ceased trading and the pressures of juggling work and home schooling have been just some of the situations people have found themselves in. The pandemic has made us really sit up and take a look at our lives and prioritise the things that we hadn’t even needed to consider before. Even our shopping habits have changed! There are so many things that we have had to deal with that we didn’t give a second thought to before, we have adapted, we have coped, granted some better than others and with the right tools, the right people around us we will also overcome.

  • Are you one of the few people coping?

  • What has been your way of dealing with the hand you have been dealt?

  • Have you tried different techniques and activities?

What COVID has done for us though is waken us up to the things that we take for granted.

What COVID has done for us though is waken us up to the things that we take for granted. It’s going to feel weird re-integrating ourselves to whatever the “new normal” looks like where we can interact with others in unrestrictive ways and simply be in the company of other folk with no talk of social bubbles - we are social beings after all!

"Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment." — Oprah Winfrey

Mental health has never been more talked about and yet we often “muddle” through. Jabs are being rolled out as we speak which gives us all that glimmer of hope we have so desperately needed. Hypnotherapy has also helped many people particularly during lockdown. It has provided a boost of confidence, alleviated anxiety and people have overcame fears and phobias. Want to know how hypnotherapy can help you? Contact Jen at CorePotential.co.uk so that you can start living your life to it’s full potential.

“We must take ownership and responsibility for our mental health, because if we don’t who will!” Let’s do more than cope let’s take control!" - Jen Stanton
